Alvin Sumter

Founder and Executive Director

Alvin Sumter graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and continued his studies at Georgia Institute of Technology  where he  received a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering. He has always had a propensity to serve the community serving the community through volunteer service focusing on environmental, youth, and educational programs.  In his community he has coached youth baseball for approximately 10 years, volunteered and supported local food banks, provided tutoring to youths in afternoon school programs, participated in community and waterway cleanup, and donated his time and resources to batter women shelters.   Additionally, he has served on the boards of North Carolina State University Engineering Foundation, and Customer Experience Advisory Council Board for George Washington University and University of Richmond Business schools.  

In 2021, Alvin founded Unlimit Horizons , where he works as the Executive Director focusing impact projects which provide an environment or  pathway for youth to excel.
